Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Set-Up & Customer Supply Optimization
- Develop and implement the supply chain set-up to ensure optimal customer supply, tailoring approaches to product group requirements and market dynamics
- Determine production and procurement requirements with precision, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, manufacturing capacity, and supplier capabilities
- Establish and maintain appropriate safety stock levels to buffer against demand variability and supply chain disruptions while controlling working capital efficiently
- Assess the feasibility of customer demand requests, providing clear, well-reasoned recommendations on what can realistically be delivered within agreed timeframes
Disruption-Free Material Supply & Supplier Forecasting
- Ensure disruption-free material supply by creating accurate supplier forecasts and maintaining close, disciplined monitoring of delivery deadlines across the supply base
- Proactively initiate measures to prevent bottlenecks and delivery difficulties before they impact production schedules or customer commitments
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers to ensure forecast accuracy, responsiveness, and reliable communication during periods of demand volatility
- Continuously monitor supplier performance against forecast commitments, flagging emerging risks early enough to allow for effective mitigation action
S&OP Process Support & Product Group Coordination
- Support the proper execution of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for your assigned product group, ensuring alignment between sales, operations, and supply chain stakeholders
- Contribute accurate, timely data and insights to the S&OP process that support sound, evidence-based planning decisions at both operational and management level
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product group-level supply chain plans remain aligned with broader company objectives and customer commitments
- Identify opportunities to improve the S&OP process within your area of responsibility, contributing to continuous improvement of planning accuracy and supply chain resilience
Claim & Escalation Management
- Manage claims and escalations effectively to safeguard continuous supply and minimize the operational and commercial impact of supply chain disruptions
- Investigate the root causes of claims and escalations, working collaboratively with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to resolve issues efficiently and fairly
- Document claim and escalation cases thoroughly, ensuring lessons learned are captured and applied to prevent recurrence of similar supply chain issues
- Communicate proactively and transparently with internal stakeholders regarding the status of claims, escalations, and associated supply risk throughout the resolution process
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completed vocational training as Industriekaufmann/-frau (Industrial Business Management Assistant) or a comparable commercial/business qualification
- Additional supply chain, procurement, or logistics qualifications are considered a meaningful advantage for this role
Experience Requirements
- Several years of practical experience in procurement and/or supply chain management, ideally within a manufacturing, technology, or industrial environment
