Position Overview
As Junior Quality Assurance Officer, you will conduct daily inspections at the start of production, perform spot checks across departments, and approve work-in-progress and finished products based on defined specifications. You’ll support the Food Safety Team Leader in implementing HACCP and ISO 22000 systems, manage ATP swab testing schedules, conduct hygiene audits, execute surprise audits across departments, and maintain thorough inspection records and quality reports.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Site Inspection & Compliance Monitoring
- Conduct daily inspections at the start of production for safe food manufacturing readiness
- Perform weekly minimum spot checks across departments to verify procedures and records
- Approve work-in-progress and finished products based on specifications and recipes
Food Safety & System Implementation
- Support the Food Safety Team Leader (FSTL) in implementing HACCP and ISO 22000
- Assist in closing non-compliances and conducting root cause analysis
- Ensure a Person in Charge (PIC), certified First Aider, and Fire Fighter are on duty at all times
Microbiological & Hygiene Testing
- Prepare and manage the ATP swab testing schedule and ensure regular implementation
- Conduct hygiene audits and verify cleanliness of production and storage areas
Surprise Audits & Documentation
- Conduct unannounced spot checks and audits across departments
- Approve finished goods for dispatch based on product specifications
- Maintain inspection records, test results, non-conformance logs, and corrective action reports
- Submit daily quality reports and support internal, third-party, and municipal audit preparation
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related discipline
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of quality control experience in a food production or factory setting
- Hands-on knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 food safety systems
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and documentation skills
- Effective communicator able to take initiative and remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations and microbiological testing is an advantage
- Preferred certifications: HACCP Level 2/3, Basic Food Hygiene, Internal Auditor (ISO 22000)
