Position Overview
The Inventory Associate at Careem Dubai is an operationally critical, floor-level leadership role responsible for the complete execution of inbound and inventory operations within Careem’s fulfillment and dark store facilities. You will lead a team of supervisors and pickers, enforce strict SOP discipline, manage cycle counts and FEFO compliance, oversee inbound supplier receiving, and drive the stock accuracy and inventory health that underpin Careem’s commitment to reliable, fast grocery and goods delivery across Dubai and the wider UAE market. This is a hands-on, high-accountability role in a fast-paced, AI-entering tech operations environment.

Key Responsibilities
Floor Leadership & Shift Management
- Lead the on-ground team of supervisors and pickers across all Inbound and Inventory operational functions
- Plan shift manpower requirements, allocate tasks across the floor team, and actively monitor floor productivity levels
- Enforce strict SOP guardrails across all Inbound and Inventory processes — identifying adherence gaps and driving corrective actions
- Maintain high standards of process discipline, team accountability, and operational performance across all warehouse shifts
Inventory Operations Management
- Oversee batch consolidation and zonal stock movements to keep inventory organized and batch spread minimized across storage areas
- Plan and execute cycle counts — including variance investigation, root cause analysis, and stock reconciliation activities
- Manage FEFO fixing movements and pallet-to-pick replenishment to keep pick faces accurately stocked and properly rotated
- Lead expiry management operations — including identification, segregation, and disposition of near-expiry and expired stock
- Oversee stock merchandising within pick locations and manage Return-to-Vendor (RTV) processes accurately and efficiently
Inbound Operations Management
- Oversee supplier PO receiving at the dock — conducting quantity checks, quality inspections, and batch and expiry verifications
- Manage Store Transfer Order (TO) receiving and ensure timely, accurate putaway of stock into correct warehouse bins
- Oversee supplier invoice management including verification and reconciliation of invoices against received quantities
- Ensure all inbound documentation is complete, accurate, and recorded within the WMS system in real time
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or dark-store operations — inbound and inventory management preferred
- Practical experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), cycle counting processes, and FEFO-based stock handling
- Demonstrated ability to lead floor teams, enforce SOP discipline, and solve operational problems in a fast-paced environment
Skills & Personal Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy — essential for stock reconciliation, cycle count variances, and inventory reporting
- Flexibility to work in shifts according to operational needs in a high-tempo quick commerce fulfillment environment
