The Assistant Inventory Controller at Al Rostamani Group’s Emirates Electrical Engineering division in Dubai manages the full daily cycle of stores and warehouse operations — receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, returning, and transferring materials and equipment. Accurate SAP MM transaction management is central to the role, covering GRNs, material movements, cost bookings, project allocations, and fixed asset movements. The role also covers physical inventory counts, variance reconciliation, inventory reporting, team supervision, supplier and subcontractor coordination, housekeeping and safety compliance, and full audit support — requiring 5+ years of UAE storekeeping experience in electrical or civil contracting environments.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Stores & Warehouse Operations
- Manage all daily stores, warehouse, and inventory operations — including receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, returns, and transfers of materials and equipment
- Ensure accurate material coding, tagging, stacking, preservation, and full stock traceability across all warehouse and stores locations
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors on material deliveries, returns, and all related stores activities to ensure timely material availability
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, security, and compliance standards are consistently maintained within all stores and warehouse areas
SAP MM Transactions & Material Management
- Maintain accurate SAP MM transactions — including Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), material movements, cost bookings, project allocations, and fixed asset movements
- Ensure all material transactions are posted accurately and promptly in SAP to maintain real-time inventory visibility and system data integrity
- Support project teams with timely and accurate SAP material issuance, returns, and inter-project transfers as operationally required
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records within SAP and support periodic fixed asset movement and verification activities
Physical Inventory, Reconciliation & Reporting
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and fixed asset checks — reconciling physical variances against SAP system records accurately
- Prepare detailed inventory reports covering stock accuracy, discrepancies, material movements, and inventory availability for management
- Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and maintain stock accuracy
- Support Finance, Procurement, and Project teams with accurate inventory data for cost reporting, budget management, and project planning
Team Supervision & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Supervise Store Assistants, Helpers, and Forklift Operators — allocating daily activities and ensuring efficient, compliant stores operations
- Coordinate effectively with Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, and Project teams on all material, cost, budget, and inventory-related matters
- Support internal and external audit processes by maintaining complete, accurate stores records and documentation at all times
- Ensure safe equipment operation — particularly forklift safety — and maintain a safe, organised, and compliant stores environment
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline — or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic courses
- Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management courses is a recognised additional qualification for this role
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of UAE working experience in storekeeping within electrical and civil contracting companies — a firm requirement
- Hands-on SAP MM experience covering GRNs, material movements, cost bookings, and project allocations in a contracting environment
- Proven experience managing physical inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and preparation of inventory reports for management review
- Experience supervising stores team members — Store Assistants, Helpers, and Forklift Operators — in a structured warehouse operation
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong SAP MM proficiency — essential for all daily inventory transactions, material movements, and project cost bookings
