Position Overview
The Associate QHSE plays a critical role in building and sustaining a robust safety, quality, and environmental culture across all facilities. You will conduct risk assessments, perform site inspections, lead QHSE training sessions, investigate incidents, review designs for new projects, and ensure every aspect of the operation meets international standards and UAE regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
QHSE System Development & Implementation
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with international standards and organizational goals
- Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify hazards, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant QHSE laws, regulations, and standards applicable in the UAE and GCC region
Operational Safety & On-Ground Compliance
- Carry out daily and periodic site inspections and audits across operational sites to verify adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Provide direct on-site guidance and support to operational teams on QHSE compliance and best practices
- Lead and supervise QHSE compliance standards on site in coordination with FM Service Providers
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Design Review & New Asset Projects
- Perform design reviews of new assets and facilities to ensure QHSE requirements are embedded from the early planning stage
- Review architectural drawings, technical specifications, and project plans for compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Assess Risk Assessments for fit-out projects based on approved Method Statements
- Review vendor documentation to issue Permit to Work in line with business requirements
Training & Safety Culture Awareness
- Plan, conduct, and document QHSE training sessions covering food safety, health and safety inductions, emergency preparedness, and hygiene practices
- Drive a proactive safety culture through ongoing awareness campaigns and continuous staff engagement across all levels
Audit, Reporting & Documentation
- Support internal and external QHSE audits and inspections, ensuring findings are closed out within agreed timelines
- Prepare comprehensive reports on site inspections, incident investigations, and audit outcomes with clear, actionable recommendations for improvement
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a dedicated QHSE role, preferably within Community Management and Facilities Management sectors
- Minimum 3 years of experience in OA Community Management environments
- Proven track record in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
Knowledge & Compliance Skills
- Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations, international standards, and UAE/GCC local regulatory requirements
- Deep understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HSE requirements specific to the UAE and GCC context
- UAE or GCC driving license is mandatory for fulfilling site visit responsibilities
Technical & Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical skills in risk assessment, auditing, and structured incident investigation
- Proficiency in data analysis, professional report writing, and full MS Office Suite usage
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to influence safety culture at all organizational levels
