Position Overview
This Infrastructure Technical Coordinator role involves coordinating all technical submissions including shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and engineering documentation. You will review IFC and shop drawings for design discrepancies and constructability concerns, coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, liaise directly with Abu Dhabi authorities for technical approvals, monitor submission and approval status against project schedules, and maintain accurate records supporting smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Submissions Coordination
- Coordinate all technical submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and method statements
- Review Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and shop drawings for design discrepancies and constructability concerns
- Ensure engineering documentation complies with project specifications and contractual requirements
Authority Liaison & Approvals
- Liaise with Abu Dhabi authorities to obtain required technical approvals
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards across all relevant authorities
- Monitor the status of technical submissions and authority approvals to support project milestones
Stakeholder & Design Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams
- Ensure timely review and approval of all technical documents
- Coordinate design changes and communicate approved revisions to project teams
Documentation & Project Support
- Maintain accurate records of technical submissions, approvals, and project documentation
- Support project teams in resolving technical queries and coordinating engineering solutions
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams for smooth project execution
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure contracting projects within Abu Dhabi
- Experience working with leading infrastructure contractors in the UAE is highly preferred
Authority & Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority requirements: DMT, ADQCC, ADM, ITC, ADDC, TAQA, e& (Etisalat), du
- Proven experience coordinating shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and method statements
- Ability to review IFC drawings, identify design clashes, and coordinate technical resolutions
- Strong understanding of roads, utilities, stormwater drainage, irrigation, street lighting, and landscaping
Technical & Software Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Civil 3D is an advantage
