Position Overview
This Experienced VTL Operator role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and performing precise measurements to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish. You will carry out routine machine checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting, follow safety procedures and quality control standards, and collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to plan jobs and meet production deadlines.

VTL Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up, operate, and monitor VTL machines and related equipment
- Produce components according to engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials
Precision Measurement & Quality Control
- Perform precise measurements, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Follow safety procedures and quality control standards
Maintenance, Collaboration & Planning
- Carry out routine machine checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience operating Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) or similar heavy machining equipment/lathes
- Previous experience in heavy machining, fabrication, or manufacturing in Musaffah or similar industrial zones is an advantage
Essential Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and machining process sheets
- Proficiency in measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and inspection techniques
- Knowledge of machining parameters, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and best practices for materials like steel and alloys
- Understanding of safety standards, safe machine operation, and housekeeping in an industrial environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting minor machine issues and routine maintenance
