Position Overview
This Fashion Designer role at Antigen Music is a part-time, on-site creative position based in Dubai that sits squarely at the intersection of fashion, music, and cultural identity. You will be responsible for developing design concepts, sketching and refining performance-ready outfits, selecting textiles and trims, coordinating embroidery and embellishments, overseeing fittings, and supporting styling for performances, appearances, and shoots. Key Responsibilities
Design Concept Development & Artistic Direction
- Develop original and bold fashion design concepts that are fully aligned with Antigen’s artistic vision, musical identity, and brand direction
- Sketch, refine, and present outfit concepts that seamlessly blend hip hop culture, Emirati heritage, and contemporary global streetwear influences
- Stay consistently current with evolving streetwear, hip hop, and regional fashion trends to ensure designs remain fresh and culturally relevant
- Translate abstract artistic direction and creative briefs into cohesive, wearable, and visually powerful fashion collections and individual stage looks
Textile Selection, Embroidery & Embellishment Coordination
- Research, source, and select fabrics, textiles, and trims that are appropriate for both stage performance demands and everyday streetwear wear
- Coordinate embroidery detailing, custom embellishments, and finishing treatments that add depth, cultural richness, and visual impact to each design
- Ensure all selected materials meet the performance-readiness, comfort, durability, and visual requirements of stage and media appearances
- Build and maintain relationships with Dubai-based fabric suppliers, embroidery specialists, and embellishment vendors to support creative production
Fitting Oversight & Garment Collaboration
- Oversee all fitting sessions to ensure each garment achieves the precise fit, comfort level, and performance-ready silhouette required on stage
- Collaborate directly with tailors and production partners to communicate design intent clearly and achieve accurate, high-quality garment outcomes
- Make skilled garment adjustments and refinements during and after fittings to ensure every piece is stage-ready and camera-ready before use
- Maintain a meticulous eye for fit, proportion, silhouette, and finish across all garments produced for Antigen’s performances and public appearances
Performance, Shoot & Appearance Styling Support
- Support full styling for Antigen’s live performances, media appearances, music videos, and professional photo shoots in Dubai and beyond
- Work closely with the artist, creative director, and media teams to ensure the visual identity is consistent, powerful, and authentically on-brand
- Prepare complete performance looks in advance of all stage and media dates, ensuring every piece is ready, pressed, and perfectly executed
- Contribute creative styling ideas and visual concepts that enhance and elevate the overall artistic presentation of the Antigen brand
Brand Identity & Cross-Team Creative Collaboration
- Work closely with the wider Antigen Music team — including artists, stylists, media producers, and creative directors — to maintain brand cohesion
- Ensure all fashion outputs reflect a consistent, recognizable, and globally compelling brand aesthetic across music, media, and fashion touchpoints
- Contribute to the creative development of Antigen’s visual identity through proactive ideas, fresh references, and culturally aware design thinking

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Relevant education in Fashion Design, Costume Design, or a closely related creative discipline from a recognized institution
- Equivalent professional experience in fashion, costume, or stagewear design is fully accepted in lieu of formal academic qualifications
Experience Requirements
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in fashion design with a strong portfolio showcasing contemporary, performance-ready, and brand-aligned designs
- Practical experience working with textiles and embroidery — selecting fabrics and embellishments suitable for stage performance and everyday streetwear
- Proven proficiency in garment fitting, including the ability to make skilled adjustments in collaboration with tailors to achieve precise and polished fits
- Experience in music, entertainment, streetwear, or costume design environments is considered a significant and valued plus for this role
