Position Overview
The Food Safety & Quality Officer at Al Safadi Hospitality Dubai is a technically comprehensive and operationally active role covering the full food safety and quality management cycle across Al Safadi’s food production facility and restaurant locations. You will conduct routine and scheduled inspections covering all food hygiene, personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitation, temperature control, pest control, allergen management, food storage, and food handling practices — verifying compliance with FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, PRPs, OPRPs, CCPs, and applicable UAE food safety regulatory requirements. You will also support customer complaint investigations, coordinate microbiological sampling, assist with supplier evaluations, deliver food safety training to food handlers, and support internal, customer, and third-party audits — traveling regularly across multiple Al Safadi locations throughout Dubai.

Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Quality Inspections — Multi-Site
- Conduct routine and scheduled Food Safety & Quality inspections across Al Safadi’s food production facility and all restaurant locations — covering food hygiene, personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitation, temperature control, pest control, allergen management, food storage, and food handling practices
- Verify compliance with FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, PRPs, OPRPs, CCPs, and all applicable UAE food safety regulatory requirements at every inspected site — documenting findings with precision and professionalism
- Track all CCPs and OPRPs systematically — ensuring appropriate monitoring records are maintained, deviations are identified promptly, and corrective actions are initiated without delay
- Travel regularly between multiple Al Safadi locations throughout Dubai to conduct inspections, verification activities, and corrective action follow-ups — maintaining consistent quality standards across all sites
Non-Conformity Management & Corrective Actions
- Identify food safety and quality non-conformities across all inspected sites, document findings accurately, and follow up rigorously on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to ensure timely and effective closure
- Support investigations into customer complaints, food safety incidents, and other quality-related issues — preparing structured, evidence-based investigation reports for the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager
- Communicate food safety and quality concerns clearly to department heads, operational team leaders, and the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager — ensuring issues are visible, prioritized, and resolved efficiently
Microbiological Sampling & Laboratory Coordination
- Coordinate and monitor microbiological sampling and environmental swabbing programs across all Al Safadi production and restaurant locations — following defined sampling schedules and protocols
- Review laboratory results for all microbiological tests — interpreting findings against specification limits, flagging out-of-specification results, and initiating appropriate investigative and corrective action responses
- Maintain accurate records of all sampling activities, laboratory results, and associated corrective actions for regulatory, audit, and FSSC 22000 compliance purposes
Supplier Evaluations, Audits & Performance Monitoring
- Assist with supplier evaluations, quality audits, and ongoing supplier performance monitoring — verifying that all food and non-food suppliers meet Al Safadi’s food safety and quality standards before and after approval
- Prepare supplier audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments, and required corrective actions — following up to ensure supplier improvements are implemented within agreed timelines
Food Safety Training, Audits & Regulatory Support
- Conduct structured food safety and hygiene training programs for food handlers, kitchen staff, and relevant employees across all Al Safadi sites — building a strong, consistent food safety culture throughout the hospitality group
- Support all internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits — including preparation, documentation, accompaniment during audits, and ensuring timely, complete closure of all audit findings
- Maintain all food safety management system documentation in line with FSSC 22000, HACCP, and UAE regulatory requirements — ensuring records are accurate, current, and audit-ready at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Food Safety, or a closely related scientific discipline
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant Food Safety & Quality experience in food production, central kitchens, catering, restaurants, hospitality operations, or food manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to implement and manage HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP, PRPs, OPRPs, CCPs, food hygiene standards, and food safety management systems in a professional hospitality or food production context
- Strong working knowledge of UAE food safety requirements, SFDA regulations, and applicable local regulatory standards for food production and restaurant operations
Key Skills & Additional Requirements
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills — able to prioritize competing responsibilities across multiple restaurant and production locations simultaneously without compromising quality or compliance
