Position Overview
This Logistics Team Leader role at Air Arabia supervises end-to-end logistics activities including imports, exports, cross trades, charters, courier movement, transshipments, and local deliveries of aircraft parts and consumables. You will coordinate AOG movements for fastest possible routing, ensure compliance with GCAA/IATA/ICAO and customs regulations, verify accuracy of logistics documentation, liaise with freight forwarders and internal stakeholders, track logistics costs, supervise support staff, and drive continuous improvement across logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities
Operational & Executional
- Supervise end-to-end logistics including imports, exports, cross trades, charters, and local deliveries
- Coordinate AOG movements ensuring fastest routing, documentation readiness, and customs clearance
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or exceptions
- Monitor vendor KPIs and ensure accurate weight, dimension, packaging, and labelling of shipments
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with GCAA, IATA, ICAO, and UAE/international customs regulations
- Coordinate Dangerous Goods (IATA DGR) shipments and requirements
- Verify accuracy of AWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, export declarations, and permits
Vendor & Cost Management
- Liaise with freight forwarders, airlines, couriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders
- Track logistics costs, validate freight invoices, and support freight optimization initiatives
- Monitor KPIs including response time, shipment TAT, cost variance, and compliance deviations
- Escalate critical issues with recommendations and corrective actions
People & Process Management
- Supervise logistics support staff and ensure adherence to SOPs
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes and support audits with CAPA
- Provide direction, coaching, and guidance for team members’ career development

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Aviation Management, or related field
- IATA Cargo/DGR certifications an advantage
Experience Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in aviation logistics or freight forwarding
- Strong hands-on experience in AOG shipments, customs clearance, DG cargo, and international freight
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of aircraft parts logistics, Incoterms, and customs procedures
- Proficient in ERP and logistics systems with high attention to documentation accuracy
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with high accountability and ownership
- Proficient in MS Office; flexible to work shifts or on-call for AOG requirements
