Key Responsibilities
Participant Recruitment, Engagement & Informed Consent
- Lead ethical, culturally sensitive, and regulatory-compliant participant recruitment and engagement activities — conducting eligibility screening, delivering informed consent processes, and providing ongoing participant support in full alignment with biobank research ethics requirements

- Perform pre-analytical and specimen processing activities in strict accordance with established SOPs, biosafety standards, and specimen stability requirements — including all cold-chain management procedures required to protect specimen integrity
- Manage specimen storage across relevant biobank storage systems — ensuring that all biological materials are stored under appropriate conditions, correctly catalogued in LIMS, and available for research purposes when required
- Support specialized biobanking programs including cord blood collections and maternal or neonatal specimen programs — applying the specific protocols and heightened care requirements associated with these scientifically and ethically sensitive collection types
Quality, ISO Compliance & Biosafety
- Uphold the highest standards of biosafety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across all biobank activities — ensuring all procedures are conducted in full accordance with ISO standards, biobank regulatory requirements, and applicable UAE health authority guidelines
- Support quality, inventory management, and compliance activities — including incident reporting, corrective action documentation, internal and external audits, and ongoing adherence to all relevant ISO and biobank regulatory standards
- Handle biological specimens using appropriate PPE and infection control practices at all times — maintaining a safe working environment for all biobank staff and ensuring full compliance with Abu Dhabi biosafety standards
- Coordinate and support training, education, and engagement initiatives within the biobank — including materials development, logistics coordination, scheduling, and monitoring the effectiveness of training delivery across the team

Educational Requirements
