Key Responsibilities

Daily Production Operations Leadership

  • Lead daily production operations across your assigned department — ensuring production targets are consistently met with the right staffing levels, following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices (GPPs)
  • Monitor real-time production performance and address deviations immediately — keeping output on target across your shift while protecting product quality and team safety at every step
  • Coordinate staffing requirements, shift assignments, and workflow management to maintain smooth, uninterrupted production flow across the Lumber Bridge facility
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping for all team members using Kronos/Oracle HCM systems — maintaining payroll accuracy and shift compliance records

Product Quality & Food Safety Compliance

  • Maintain strict oversight of product quality adherence to Mountaire Farms specifications, USDA regulatory requirements, and established food safety standards across all production activities
  • Apply HACCP principles consistently across daily operations — identifying and addressing food safety risks at critical control points and implementing corrective actions when deviations occur
  • Monitor sanitation standards and ensure all team members follow hygiene protocols, GMP requirements, and food safety regulations that protect both product integrity and consumer safety
  • Track and improve key production performance metrics including BMPH (Birds per Man per Hour), Cost/lb., PPMH (Pieces per Man per Hour), and A Grade % — reporting performance to plant management regularly

Team Safety & Training

  • Enforce all workplace safety protocols across your production department — conducting safety observations, addressing unsafe behaviors immediately, and fostering a culture where safety is every team member’s personal responsibility
  • Oversee team training and certification requirements — ensuring all production workers are trained on current SOPs, HACCP principles, equipment operation, and safety procedures relevant to their roles

Requirements & Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent — required for all Production Supervisor pipeline candidates at Mountaire Farms Lumber Bridge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or a related field — preferred and will be given favorable consideration during selection

Experience Requirements

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment — poultry industry experience is preferred and strongly advantageous for all 22 department openings
  • Hands-on experience with HACCP principles and USDA food safety regulations in a food processing or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of sanitation standards, GMP requirements, and operational guidelines applicable to poultry or food production facilities
