Role Scope — QA Inspector, Joud Coffee
Production QA: End-to-end quality checks from raw material receipt through preparation, portioning, packaging, and dispatch
Dispatch Control: Daily pre-dispatch sign-off — no non-conforming product leaves the central kitchen
Cold Chain: Temperature monitoring and cold chain verification for chilled and frozen products during storage and delivery
Labelling: Verify all dispatched products are correctly labelled per UAE standards — allergens, nutritional info, dates, storage temp
Supplier QA: Incoming goods inspections and supplier performance evaluation in coordination with procurement

This Quality Assurance Inspector role at Joud Coffee is a comprehensive, hands-on food safety position that spans the full production and dispatch lifecycle of a fast-growing specialty coffee and food brand. You will be the person who ensures that Joud Coffee’s quality promise is not just a statement — it is a verified, documented reality at every stage of production, packaging, and delivery across Abu Dhabi.
From conducting daily pre-dispatch sign-offs and monitoring CCPs to training new kitchen staff, inspecting incoming supplier deliveries, and ensuring full ADAFSA regulatory compliance — this role demands a food safety professional who is equally rigorous with their standards and effective in their communication. What You’ll Do — Full Responsibilities
Production & Dispatch Quality Control
- Conduct end-to-end quality checks across all production stages — from raw material receipt through preparation, portioning, packaging, and dispatch — including daily pre-dispatch sign-off to ensure no non-conforming product ever leaves the central kitchen.
- Verify all dispatched products are correctly labelled in accordance with UAE standards — covering nutritional value, allergens, production date and time, expiry, and recommended storage temperature.
- Monitor and verify portion weights, appearance, texture, and taste against approved product specifications — ensuring every item dispatched meets Joud Coffee’s defined quality standards.
- Oversee temperature monitoring and cold chain verification for chilled and frozen items during storage and dispatch — coordinating with logistics to ensure correct handling and delivery timelines are maintained.
HACCP, GMP & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure the consistent application of GMP and HACCP principles across all kitchen and production activities — monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs) and operational Prerequisite Programs (oPRPs) daily.
- Immediately escalate any deviations from food safety standards — initiating corrective actions and product holds as required to prevent non-conforming products from reaching customers.
- Assess hygiene and sanitation of kitchen equipment, surfaces, utensils, and food contact materials — validating that cleaning and disinfection schedules are executed correctly, at the required frequency, and documented accurately.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE food safety regulations — including ADAFSA (Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority) and Dubai Municipality standards — and maintain operational readiness for regulatory inspections at all times.
Incoming Goods & Supplier Quality
- Conduct thorough incoming goods inspections — verifying supplier delivery conditions, product freshness, packaging integrity, temperature compliance, and Certificates of Conformance; reject or quarantine all non-conforming deliveries.
- Work with the procurement team to communicate quality expectations to suppliers clearly and support the periodic evaluation of supplier performance against defined quality KPIs.
Training & Food Safety Culture
- Design and deliver structured food safety induction programmes for all new kitchen and restaurant staff — ensuring comprehension is assessed and verified before any new staff member commences duties.
- Build and sustain a proactive food safety culture across Joud Coffee’s kitchen and outlet operations — where quality and compliance are embedded habits, not reactive responses.
