 Position Overview

The Quality Control Manager at Sitaf Riyadh will take full ownership of building and implementing the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) from the ground up. This is not a maintenance role — it is a true leadership and creation opportunity. You will establish quality procedures, enforce compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and SFDA regulations, manage quality controls across warehousing, logistics, suppliers, and distribution channels, and drive a robust food safety culture throughout the entire organisation in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 food sector ambitions.

Why This Role Matters: As Quality Control Manager at Sitaf, you will be the architect of the company’s entire quality and food safety identity — establishing policies, leading audits, managing supplier quality, ensuring SFDA compliance, and building a team culture where food safety is everyone’s responsibility. This is the ideal role for a QC leader ready to leave a lasting professional legacy at a growing premium food brand in Saudi Arabia.

 Key Responsibilities

QMS Design & Implementation from Scratch

  • Build and implement the company’s complete Quality Management System (QMS) from the ground up — creating a fully structured, scalable, and compliant framework
  • Establish all quality procedures, operational policies, and standards covering every aspect of the company’s food import, storage, and distribution activities
  • Design documentation frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality manuals aligned with international best practices

Regulatory Compliance — HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP & SFDA

  • Ensure full and ongoing compliance with HACCP principles, ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System requirements, and GMP guidelines across all operations
  • Manage compliance with all Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations applicable to premium food importation and distribution in the Kingdom
  • Stay current with evolving KSA food safety legislation and proactively update the QMS to reflect regulatory changes

Supply Chain & Distribution Quality Controls

  • Manage and oversee quality controls across all warehousing, cold chain logistics, supplier relationships, and product distribution channels
  • Develop and enforce supplier qualification and approval programmes to ensure all imported premium food products meet Sitaf’s quality specifications
  • Monitor product integrity, temperature control compliance, and traceability across the end-to-end supply chain

Audits, Inspections & Corrective Actions

  • Lead and coordinate all internal audits, regulatory inspections, and supplier quality assessments across the business
  • Manage traceability systems and ensure full product recall readiness in line with SFDA and international food safety standards
  • Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) arising from audit findings, non-conformances, and customer complaints

Food Safety Culture & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Drive a strong, organisation-wide food safety and quality culture through awareness programs, training, and visible senior leadership commitment
  • Work closely with operations, procurement, warehouse, logistics, and commercial teams to embed quality thinking into all business decisions
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that raise quality standards and operational efficiency across the entire Sitaf organisation

 Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Quality Management, or a related scientific or business discipline
  • Professional certifications in food safety management, HACCP, or ISO 22000 are strongly preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within the food service, HoReCa, premium food distribution, or FMCG sectors
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience building, implementing, or significantly improving Quality Management Systems in a food environment
  • Strong background in managing quality across import, warehousing, cold chain logistics, and multi-channel distribution operations

Essential Skills

  • Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of international food safety standards including HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and SFDA regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and structured problem-solving skills to build systems and processes in a fast-growing business
  • Proven ability to design processes and organisational structures in dynamic, entrepreneurial, or scaling environments
  • Fluent English communication skills — written and spoken — essential for supplier management and international standard implementation
  • Collaborative, cross-functional mindset with the ability to influence and align teams at all levels of the organisation
