Key Responsibilities
Scaffold Design & Temporary Works Engineering
- Design safe, efficient, and fully compliant scaffolding and temporary works solutions for construction, industrial, infrastructure, maintenance, and oil & gas projects across the UAE
- Prepare comprehensive structural calculations, engineering reports, and complete scaffold design packages — meeting client specifications and all applicable regulatory requirements
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, erection and dismantling details, and full design documentation using AutoCAD 2D and 3D to professional engineering standards
- Apply practical knowledge of scaffold erection, modification, usage, and dismantling techniques to develop designs that are efficient, cost-effective, and practically constructable on site
Structural Analysis & Engineering Assessment
- Perform rigorous structural analysis of scaffolding and temporary works using STAAD Pro, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, or equivalent structural engineering software
- Conduct detailed engineering assessments to verify the structural stability, load capacity, and safety of scaffolding systems under all design loading conditions and site-specific constraints
- Ensure all scaffold designs fully comply with applicable UAE Building Regulations, GCC Standards, CDM Regulations, Work at Height Regulations (WAHR), company procedures, and client specifications
- Carry out thorough site surveys, collect accurate project information, and assess site constraints and ground conditions before preparing and finalizing scaffold design solutions
Client Liaison, Design Coordination & Technical Support
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Scaffolding Supervisors, and Operations teams throughout the design and delivery process — ensuring constructability, safety, and project success
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, and contractors to clarify technical requirements, answer engineering queries, and resolve design-related issues promptly and effectively
- Review and revise engineering drawings based on site conditions, engineering review comments, or client feedback — maintaining design accuracy and project compliance throughout
- Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements across every stage of project execution — promoting best engineering safety practices and a safety-first culture within the team
Documentation, Deadlines & Continuous Improvement
- Deliver scaffold design requirements accurately and consistently within project deadlines — maintaining the balance between design quality and commercial project schedule requirements
- Maintain organised and complete engineering documentation — including design calculations, revision records, drawing registers, and project files — ensuring full design traceability at all times
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance design efficiency, structural safety, cost-effectiveness, and service delivery quality
- Deliver accurate scaffold design requirements and documentation to support project delivery within budget and on time across all assigned engineering projects
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
