Position Overview
The Supply Chain Manager at Trivium Packaging Wedel will bear comprehensive responsibility for all supply chain processes at the plant — including procurement, production planning, material flow, and shipping. You will lead and develop the SCM team, ensure flawless ERP system processes, manage and optimize logistical flows and inventory levels, guarantee delivery reliability, ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, environmental, quality, and energy management regulations, participate in the local and central S&OP process, represent the company in working groups, and maintain risk assessments and process documentation within the Integrated Management System (IMS). Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive SCM Process Management
- Specify and ensure flawless processes in procurement, production planning, material flow, and shipping — including ensuring correct and timely postings to the local ERP system at all times
- Control and continuously optimize all logistical processes across the Wedel plant — driving systematic improvements in efficiency, accuracy, lead times, and overall supply chain performance
- Ensure effective inventory management across all material categories — maintaining minimal inventory levels while guaranteeing stable and uninterrupted production processes
- Control and improve communication and collaboration between suppliers, internal and external production units, logistics service providers, and sales and customer-facing teams
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide full professional and disciplinary management of the SCM team — covering material procurement and management, raw material storage, shipping, and production planning functions
- Motivate, develop, and coach subordinate employees — actively promoting cooperation and open communication both within the SCM department and across all other plant departments

KPI Management, Compliance & Risk
- Comply with and actively drive performance targets for occupational safety, environmental protection, delivery capability, deadline adherence, quality, and the further development of the plant’s KPI reporting system
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations in occupational safety, health, environmental protection, quality management, and energy management across all SCM activities
- Create and maintain up-to-date risk assessments and process descriptions within the scope of the Integrated Management System (IMS) — assuming entrepreneurial responsibility within the assigned area
- Monitor and report on SCM KPIs regularly — providing clear, accurate, and actionable performance insights to plant management and central supply chain leadership
S&OP & International Representation
- Organize the local S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process at the Wedel plant level — ensuring effective alignment between production capacity, material availability, and commercial sales requirements
- Participate actively in the central S&OP process — contributing Wedel plant supply chain data, constraints, and improvement proposals to Trivium Packaging’s international supply chain planning framework
- Represent the company in national and international working groups — communicating Wedel plant SCM positions and contributing to group-level supply chain strategy and knowledge sharing
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completed university degree in Business Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a comparable technical or commercial discipline
- Additional qualifications, certifications, or training in supply chain management, S&OP, ERP systems, or project management are a valued professional advantage
Experience Requirements
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable SCM position within international industrial companies — packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG supply chain backgrounds are preferred
- Excellent knowledge of ERP systems — including SAP, pro Alpha, BPCS, or comparable platforms — with proven hands-on system management and process optimization experience
- Demonstrated experience in S&OP process management, production planning, material flow optimization, inventory management, and international supply chain coordination
