Position Overview
This Utilities Technician I role involves ensuring continuous and efficient operation of Boiler House machines including boilers, thermal fluid heaters, air compressors, and utility equipment, maintained in safe working condition. You will check and maintain equipment, adhere to preventive and scheduled maintenance systems, carry out daily routine work and laboratory analysis, comply with HSE and food safety HACCP requirements, and reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) through effective presence on the line.

 Key Responsibilities
Utilities Operation & Maintenance
- Ensure continuous and efficient operation of boiler house machines, maintained in safe working condition
- Check equipment and maintain to basic condition, ensuring electrical/mechanical operations meet high quality standards
- Adhere to Corrective, Preventive, Scheduled Maintenance and Kanban systems
Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Carry out daily routine work, parameter monitoring, laboratory analysis, and maintain activity reports
- Comply with HSE guidelines, chemical handling procedures, and appropriate PPE use
- Comply with HSE, food safety HACCP, GMP, and Food Defense requirements within the workplace
Continuous Improvement & Sustainability
- Reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) through effective presence in the line
- Analyze and report anomalies, completing M1, M2, and M3 notifications in the PM system
- Comply with BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines and global ESG commitments
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Minimum 2-year technical course in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operation and maintenance of boilers and air compressors in the Food/FMCG industry
- Hands-on experience with thermal fluid heaters, pumps, softeners, and water treatment equipment
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical controls, power circuits, and automation circuits
- Basic expertise in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues, repairing pumps, valves, and regulators
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and electrical/mechanical schematics
- Knowledge of boiler water quality analysis, chemical handling, and fuel handling procedures
- Knowledge of HSE policies, food safety, and firefighting/safety emergency procedures
- Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of PDCA, RCA, and 5S analytical tools
- Knowledge of PLC, BMS, DCS, SCADA, and HMI control systems
