  • Deploy and rotate personnel in the most effective manner to optimize productivity, support ergonomics, and ensure all production schedules are consistently met
  • Ensure daily reporting including departmental reports, attendance, staffing records, and yield data is accurately completed and properly recorded on time

Process Improvement & Quality Partnership

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to optimize throughput, reduce waste, improve product quality, and enhance ergonomic conditions across the production floor
  • Lead or actively participate in planning and implementing process improvement initiatives, monitor improvement metrics, and respond promptly to unfavorable trends
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe and sanitary environment that meets all USDA specifications and company standards at all times

People Leadership, Coaching & Development

  • Mentor, coach, train, and cross-train employees to encourage career development and build a capable, well-rounded production team
  • Provide consistent, constructive feedback to team members regarding their strengths and areas requiring improvement to support continuous growth

Safety Culture & OSHA Compliance

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree with relevant college coursework in food science, manufacturing, or related field is preferred
  • Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP standards is essential

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience within a manufacturing environment; three years in food manufacturing or the poultry industry is strongly preferred
  • Minimum one year of demonstrated leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and issue management; three years preferred

Skills & Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing; ability to communicate in multiple languages is a strong advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer and math skills; self-starter with strong initiative and sense of urgency
