Position Overview

This Restaurant Supervisor role in Dubai is a frontline leadership position within one of the UAE’s most energetic and guest-focused hospitality brands. You will take full ownership of daily restaurant operations — from staffing and shift scheduling through to floor management, guest complaint resolution, and HACCP compliance. You will coach and develop your team, track sales and cost metrics, monitor inventory levels, and work closely with management to implement promotions and service improvements. Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Floor Management

  • Manage shift handovers, staff briefings, and opening and closing procedures across the restaurant to maintain consistent operational standards.
  • Monitor service flow, table turns, and queue management during peak trading periods — making real-time adjustments to maintain guest satisfaction and operational pace.
  • Ensure the restaurant environment is always clean, welcoming, and fully set up to brand standards before, during, and after every service period.

Team Training, Coaching & Development

  • Train, mentor, and actively coach front-of-house and kitchen staff to consistently uphold service standards, safety compliance, and brand guidelines.
  • Identify individual team member development needs and deliver targeted on-the-job training to close performance gaps and raise the team’s overall capability.
  • Implement training and development frameworks that build team confidence, product knowledge, and guest service proficiency across all F&B roles.

Inventory Management & P&L Oversight

  • Monitor daily inventory levels, control wastage, and assist management in tracking sales, labour costs, and food cost metrics to support daily P&L performance.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate timely ordering of supplies to ensure the restaurant never runs short of critical ingredients or operational materials.
  • Support F&B Profit & Loss tracking by maintaining accurate records of daily transactions, waste logs, and shift performance data.
  • Identify and implement practical cost control measures that protect the business’s financial performance without compromising guest experience or product quality.

Guest Experience & Complaint Resolution

  • Resolve customer complaints promptly, professionally, and empathetically — turning challenging guest interactions into loyalty-building brand experiences.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and proactively engage with guests to identify and address any concerns before they escalate.
  • Apply strong conflict resolution skills to manage difficult situations with confidence, composure, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction outcomes.
  • Collaborate with management to implement promotions, guest recognition moments, and service enhancements that strengthen brand loyalty and repeat visits.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict and consistent adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations across the restaurant — including HACCP standards and UAE municipal compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular daily hygiene checks, temperature monitoring, and food handling audits to maintain full compliance with Dubai’s food safety regulations.
  • Support the management team in maintaining and renewing UAE municipal licensing and food safety certifications as required by local regulatory authorities.
  • Train and hold all team members accountable for personal hygiene standards, food safety protocols, and safe working practices at all times during service.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems — able to operate, troubleshoot, and train team members on digital ordering and payment platforms.
  • Valid food safety certification and practical knowledge of HACCP compliance in a commercial restaurant or food service environment.
  • Strong guest service protocol knowledge — understanding the full service cycle and consistently delivering a warm, professional dining experience.
  • Experience with team scheduling software to manage shift rotas, labour optimisation, and staffing levels across varying service periods.
  • Hands-on inventory management experience including stock counting, waste tracking, ordering coordination, and supplier communication.
  • Excellent Arabic and English communication skills — able to engage confidently with team members, management, and a diverse guest base across Dubai.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with UAE municipal licensing processes and the regulatory requirements for food establishment compliance in Dubai and other emirates.
  • Practical experience in F&B Profit & Loss tracking — monitoring sales, labour, and cost metrics to support operational financial performance.
  • Exposure to Training & Development frameworks within hospitality — ideally with experience designing or delivering structured onboarding or service training programmes.
