Key Responsibilities
Chemical Experiments & Laboratory Research
- Plan, design, and conduct chemical experiments in a professional and well-equipped laboratory environment
- Execute laboratory procedures accurately and safely in accordance with all research and safety protocols
- Monitor, record, and document all experimental activities and outcomes with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and workspaces to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
Product Development Support
- Assist the R&D team in developing new chemical products, formulations, and innovative solutions
- Contribute to product development cycles from initial concept and laboratory trials through to validation
- Evaluate raw materials and ingredients for suitability within new and existing product development projects
- Support optimisation of existing products to improve performance, cost efficiency, and quality outcomes
Data Analysis & Scientific Reporting
- Collect, analyse, and interpret experimental data to draw meaningful scientific conclusions and insights
- Prepare clear and accurate scientific reports, presentations, and documentation summarising research findings
- Use analytical tools and software to process laboratory data and support evidence-based R&D decision-making
- Present findings to team members and management in a clear, structured, and professional manner
Collaboration & Innovation
- Work closely and collaboratively with fellow R&D scientists, chemists, and cross-functional teams
- Contribute actively to team brainstorming sessions, innovation workshops, and product development discussions
- Share scientific knowledge and insights to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Support and assist senior researchers and R&D managers on complex or long-term research projects
Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Ensure all laboratory work complies fully with UAE regulatory standards and company safety policies
- Follow and maintain strict laboratory safety procedures including appropriate use of PPE at all times
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all research activities, data, and experimental results
- Support quality control processes and ensure all documentation meets internal and external compliance requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field
- Additional postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in chemistry or R&D are a valued advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a chemistry, R&D, laboratory, or chemical analysis role
- Demonstrated hands-on experience conducting chemical experiments and interpreting laboratory results
- Prior involvement in product development, formulation research, or data analysis is highly advantageous
