Key Responsibilities

- Pre-process and clean both structured and unstructured data to ensure data quality and analytical accuracy

Machine Learning & Predictive Modelling
- Apply advanced machine learning algorithms, data mining techniques, and statistical methods to solve complex client business problems
- Design, develop, and optimise predictive models and intelligent algorithms tailored to specific business use cases
- Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and iterate to improve accuracy, robustness, and scalability
- Stay current with emerging machine learning research and apply state-of-the-art techniques where they deliver business advantage
Data Visualisation & Stakeholder Communication
- Develop compelling, clear data visualisations and dashboards that communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Present analytical findings, model results, and recommendations to client stakeholders and senior leadership with confidence
- Translate complex statistical outputs into business language that enables informed, data-driven decision-making at every level
- Produce professional documentation of methodologies, model architecture, and analytical findings for client handover and records
Model Integration & Engineering Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with client and internal engineering teams to integrate machine learning models into live production applications

Essential Experience & Skills
Technical Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience in a Data Scientist or closely related data analytics / machine learning role
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques including classification, regression, clustering, and deep learning
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, model development, and automation of analytics workflows
- Practical experience with data science libraries and tools including NumPy, Weka, MatLab, and equivalent frameworks
