Position Overview
The Mechanical & Electrical Engineer at CBRE Excellerate Dubai supports the full operation, maintenance, and performance optimisation of building M&E systems and infrastructure across assigned commercial sites. Working within a structured facilities management environment, you will carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and related building services — diagnosing faults efficiently, supervising external contractors, and ensuring all systems operate safely and in full compliance with HSE regulations. This role also involves supporting commissioning and handover activities for new or upgraded building systems while maintaining accurate technical records and documentation. Arabic language proficiency is a firm requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities
M&E Systems Operation & Maintenance
- Oversee the full operation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of mechanical and electrical systems across all assigned commercial sites
- Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC systems, electrical distribution networks, plumbing installations, and related building services infrastructure
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner, minimising disruption to building occupants and corporate clients
- Monitor overall system performance on an ongoing basis and recommend targeted improvements for energy efficiency, reliability, and long-term operational sustainability
HSE Compliance & Safety Standards
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical systems operate in full compliance with HSE regulations, established safety procedures, and relevant industry standards at all times
- Maintain a rigorous approach to health, safety, and environmental compliance across all maintenance activities and contractor-managed works
- Identify and escalate any safety risks, compliance gaps, or system vulnerabilities to the appropriate management teams promptly
Contractor Coordination & Project Support
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and specialist service providers carrying out M&E maintenance and upgrade works on assigned sites
- Support inspection, testing, commissioning, and formal handover of new or upgraded mechanical and electrical systems and building infrastructure
- Liaise effectively with project teams, client representatives, and third-party contractors to ensure works are delivered on time and to specification
Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance records, technical reports, work orders, and engineering documentation across all assigned facilities
- Use CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) platforms to plan, track, and report on preventive maintenance activities and corrective works
- Produce clear technical reports and performance summaries for internal teams and corporate client stakeholders as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical & Electrical engineering or Facilities Management (FM) roles
- Strong, practical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and commercial building services infrastructure
- Proven experience with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS platforms for work order management and maintenance scheduling
- GCC or UAE market experience is highly desirable and will be strongly advantageous during the selection process
Technical Skills
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills — capable of diagnosing complex M&E faults accurately and resolving them efficiently
- Solid understanding of HSE standards, safety compliance requirements, and best practices in a commercial FM environment
- Experience supporting or managing works in high-rise buildings, commercial towers, or large-scale corporate facilities is a strong plus
Language Requirements
- Full fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory — Arabic language proficiency is a firm requirement for this role, not a preference
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages for effective coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams
