Key Responsibilities
Mechanical System Design & CAD Engineering
- Design mechanical systems with precision and technical rigour — translating client requirements, engineering standards, and functional specifications into detailed, implementable mechanical design solutions
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create precise 2D drawings and 3D models for all mechanical design work — ensuring drawing accuracy, dimensional correctness, and full compliance with applicable engineering standards
- Apply mechanical engineering principles and best practices to design components, assemblies, and complete mechanical systems — ensuring designs are structurally sound, manufacturable, and fit for purpose
- Review and verify engineering designs for technical accuracy, compliance with industry codes and regulations, and alignment with client specifications before drawings are issued for manufacture or implementation
Project Management — Conception to Completion
- Manage mechanical engineering projects from initial concept development through detailed design, prototype or fabrication, testing, and final implementation — ensuring every project phase is delivered on time and to the required quality standard
- Develop and maintain project schedules — tracking milestones, identifying risks and delays early, and implementing corrective actions to protect delivery commitments across the full project lifecycle
