Position Overview
This Manufacturing Engineer role at a High Voltage Plant in Jebel Ali, Dubai is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and process capability. You will develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures, lead Lean and Six Sigma improvement initiatives, evaluate and commission manufacturing equipment, maintain SAP PP master data, support New Product Development trials, and prepare performance and commissioning reports.

Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and process capability
- Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Lead process trials and improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Equipment Evaluation & Plant Performance
- Evaluate, commission, upgrade, and optimize manufacturing equipment
- Work closely with vendors to improve plant performance and production capacity
- Prepare commissioning and performance reports to track plant-level metrics
Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with QEMS, ISO, and company quality standards through process audits
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor production, quality, safety, and 5S metrics across the plant
New Product Development & SAP Management
- Support NPD by assessing manufacturing feasibility and conducting trials for new materials and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during new product introduction
- Maintain SAP PP master data, validate material records, audit shop floor transactions, and support production planning and costing
Cost Reduction & Scrap Management
- Identify and act on cost reduction opportunities through effective scrap management
- Analyze and report on cost, quality, and production efficiency metrics
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Green Belt certification in Six Sigma required
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Process Re-engineering
- Good working knowledge of Minitab or similar statistical analysis software
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
Experience & Language Requirements
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in process, production, or industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English
- Willingness to work on-site at the Jebel Ali, Dubai plant
