Position Overview
This Procurement Engineer – Electrical role handles sourcing of electrical and mechanical materials for UAE construction projects, reviewing drawings, BOQs, and specifications to conduct technical bid comparisons. You will issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, manage the full procurement cycle from PR to delivery, maintain ERP-based documentation, ensure compliance with DEWA, ADDC, DCD, and Etisalat/DU standards, and coordinate closely with engineering, QS, planning, and site teams to keep procurement aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle sourcing of electrical items: cables, switchgear, DBs, panels, lighting, and ELV

Technical Evaluation
- Review drawings, BOQs, and specifications for both electrical and mechanical packages
- Conduct technical bid comparisons to ensure compliance and value
RFQ Preparation & Vendor Management
- Issue RFQs and evaluate supplier quotations
- Negotiate pricing and maintain strong supplier relationships across the UAE
Cost Optimization & Full Procurement Cycle
- Achieve competitive pricing through strategic negotiation and market benchmarking
- Manage PR review, RFQ issuance, bid evaluation, PO preparation, and delivery follow-ups
- Coordinate material submittals for both electrical and mechanical disciplines
ERP, Compliance & Coordination
