Position Overview
The Quality Administrator at IFFCO UAE’s Bakery Ingredients Division is a vital on-the-ground quality role responsible for maintaining food safety and product quality standards throughout the production and supply chain process. Day-to-day duties include conducting online inspections with pre-weigh checks and CCP monitoring, releasing finished goods and bulk batches in the system, maintaining and updating quality documents, receiving raw materials and packaging materials against quality requirements, managing the approved supplier list, inspecting 3PL storage facilities, and coordinating with third-party logistics partners on hold and release decisions. Full adherence to IFFCO’s policies and procedures is essential at all times. Key Responsibilities
Online Production Inspections & CCP Monitoring
- Conduct online production inspections including pre-weigh checks, Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring, and weight monitoring across active production lines
- Ensure all CCP parameters are monitored, documented, and addressed promptly to maintain full food safety compliance during production
- Identify and escalate any deviations from quality or food safety standards observed during online inspections immediately to the line manager
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inspection findings, CCP monitoring data, and weight check results throughout each production shift
Batch Release & Quality Documentation
- Ensure timely releasing of finished goods (FG) and bulk batches in the system in line with quality standards and release criteria
- Maintain and update all quality-related documents accurately and in compliance with IFFCO’s document control procedures
- Prepare and maintain quality inspection records, batch release documentation, and related quality reports for management review
- Ensure all documentation is audit-ready and fully compliant with IFFCO’s quality policies and food safety requirements at all times
Raw Material & Packaging Material Receiving Inspection
- Receive and inspect incoming raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) against defined quality requirements and approved specifications
- Ensure all incoming materials are inspected, sampled, documented, and approved or rejected in line with IFFCO quality procedures
- Maintain and update the approved supplier list — ensuring only approved suppliers and materials enter the production process
- Communicate any incoming material quality issues promptly to the quality team and procurement for swift corrective action
3PL Coordination & Storage Facility Inspection
- Inspect third-party logistics (3PL) storage facilities to ensure RM, PM, and finished goods are stored in compliance with IFFCO quality and food safety requirements
- Liaise directly with 3PL partners on the hold and release of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure 3PL storage conditions, product segregation, and handling practices consistently meet IFFCO’s quality and food safety standards
- Adhere fully to all IFFCO policies and procedures in all quality, inspection, and 3PL coordination activities
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- ITI qualification in any stream — minimum educational requirement for this role
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (BSc) is an added advantage and preferred for candidates with relevant food quality experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, quality control, food safety inspection, or a related production quality role
- Prior experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, bakery, or related production environment is strongly preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail — essential for CCP monitoring, weight checks, and incoming material inspection accuracy
- Good understanding of food safety principles and quality management requirements in a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to maintain accurate quality documentation and records with a systematic, organised approach to document control
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with 3PL partners, production teams, and quality management on hold and release decisions
