Position Overview
This Quality Manager position at Al Safi, Al Kharj is a senior leadership role responsible for implementing and sustaining an integrated management system covering Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Hygiene across all plant operations. The successful candidate will chair problem-solving groups, eliminate critical non-conformities using PDCA methodology, manage consumer complaints end-to-end, and build a strong quality culture across teams. The role also supports GCC-wide quality requirements in coordination with branch and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Quality Operations
- Participate in daily Short Interval Management performance review meetings to track quality KPIs
- Resolve daily non-conformities in coordination with Quality Engineers across the plant
- Organize and lead the Problem-Solving Group (PSG) to address quality issues and track resolution progress
- Apply PDCA methodology to eliminate critical quality problems at root-cause level
- Manage and track all consumer complaints with proper documentation and closure rates
Quality Mindset & Standards Implementation
- Validate all quality aspects of new projects in coordination with the Quality Assurance Section
- Ensure implementation of online quality checks, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSI, and sampling plans with Quality Engineers
- Promote Risk Assessment and Built-in Quality thinking across all plant productivity and new product projects
- Recommend and develop improvements to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to raise quality benchmarks
- Ensure downstream operations — branches, warehouses, and GCC — meet required quality standards
- Implement proper market store checks and support GCC quality requirements
Neptune/Triton Sanitation Program
- Develop and manage the Neptune/Triton audit plan according to company guidelines
- Ensure timely implementation and follow-up on all audit findings across plant areas
- Review and confirm closure of all audit findings and oversee compliance with the annual sanitation plan
Consumer Complaints Management
- Develop and manage a robust tracking system for all consumer complaints across Saudi and GCC markets
- Monitor complaint closure rates and ensure all action plans are implemented on time
- Investigate consumer complaints and analyze by number, type, and trend to drive improvement actions
- Follow up and close GCC consumer complaints in coordination with regional teams
People Management & Coaching
- Provide formal and informal feedback to Quality Engineers and team members for continuous development
- Organize training sessions and coach plant teams — especially First Line Managers — in daily quality management
- Guide Front Line Managers and Quality Engineers on food safety, quality standards, and problem-solving techniques
Safety, Compliance & Reporting
- Report near-misses and safety risks through safety tags and ensure LOTO application during plant activities
- Ensure GMP, personal hygiene, housekeeping, equipment cleaning, zoning, and 5S compliance daily
- Adhere to all Food Safety System standards and relevant environmental management policies
- Prepare accurate and timely departmental reports meeting company standards and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Quality Management and/or Plant Operations with managerial responsibility
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Dairy Products (mandatory requirement)
- Previous experience in FMCG, Dairy, Juice, or Food Manufacturing is highly preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and training skills to drive quality culture across plant teams
- Advanced problem-solving skills using PDCA, root-cause analysis, and structured PSG methodologies
- Solid knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, FSI, and food safety management systems
- Very good to fluent English — reading, writing, and speaking
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate across multiple sites including GCC locations
