Position Overview
This Site Supply Chain Apprentice position at OPmobility’s HBPO facility in Meerane, Saxony offers a structured 2–3 year vocational training program that turns motivated school leavers into skilled logistics professionals. Key Responsibilities
Goods Receiving & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming goods in line with warehouse management procedures
- Label, mark, and secure shipments to ensure traceability and safe handling throughout the supply chain
- Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control processes within the production facility
- Identify and report discrepancies in deliveries to ensure quality and quantity standards are met
Order Picking & Shipment Assembly
- Pick and assemble deliveries accurately in accordance with production and customer order requirements
- Prepare outgoing shipments with correct labeling, documentation, and packaging for dispatch
- Support just-in-sequence module delivery processes critical to automotive production line continuity
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts safely in compliance with German workplace safety regulations
Production Material Flow & Forwarding
- Forward materials and components to the correct locations within the automotive production process
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to assembly lines
- Support smooth logistics operations across front-end module, cockpit, and center console production areas
- Monitor material flow to prevent production stoppages and ensure on-time delivery at every stage
Logistics Documentation & Process Compliance
- Maintain accurate logistics documentation including delivery notes, transfer records, and storage logs
- Follow structured processes and quality standards aligned with OPmobility’s global operational excellence framework
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and supply chain department
- Participate in practical training sessions and internal assessments as part of the formal apprenticeship curriculum
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completed lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss)
- Willingness to participate in a structured 2–3 year vocational apprenticeship program in Germany
Personal Skills & Attributes
- Willingness to work in a shift system as required by automotive production operations
- Good spatial awareness and ability to navigate and work efficiently in a warehouse environment
