Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Performance Management
- Manage the supply chain for your designated area using key business performance figures including service level, inventory structure, and capacity utilization
- Monitor supply chain KPIs on a continuous basis and identify performance deviations early to enable proactive, effective corrective measures
- Implement appropriate responses to performance gaps in collaboration with factories, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure that your supply chain area consistently meets defined service, quality, and cost targets across the full planning horizon
Planning & Ordering Process Coordination
- Manage planning and ordering processes in close cooperation with manufacturing factories and external suppliers
- Coordinate multi-stage production planning and scheduling to ensure product availability aligns with demand forecasts and customer requirements
- Apply knowledge of materials management and procurement processes to maintain optimal inventory levels and supply chain flow
- Leverage SAP R/3 (MM and PP modules) to maintain accurate planning data, process orders, and support materials management activities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct comprehensive data analyses covering supply chain performance, inventory trends, capacity utilization, and supplier reliability
- Present analytical findings in a clear, structured, and easily understandable format for team members, management, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Prepare and validate decision-making documents and board-level presentations with accurate, well-structured supply chain data
- Use advanced MS Excel skills and modern logistics tools to build reliable analytical models that support supply chain decision-making
Logistics Tools & Process Innovation
- Apply and actively contribute to the further development of modern logistics planning tools and digital supply chain platforms
- Develop and implement new supply chain processes using design thinking approaches and collaborative cross-functional workshops
- Manage smaller projects within your own area of responsibility, delivering results on time and within agreed scope
- Identify and propose improvements to planning and ordering workflows that increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain resilience
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completed university degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Coursework, thesis, or academic projects related to supply chain management, logistics, or production planning are a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- Initial to several years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials management, or logistics — gained through internships, working student positions, or professional roles
- Experience working within project teams, ideally in an international or multicultural environment, is highly valued
- Understanding of end-to-end logistical processes within a manufacturing or distribution company is essential
- Knowledge of controlling multi-stage manufacturing processes is a distinct advantage for this role
Essential Skills
- Proficient in MS Office — particularly advanced Excel skills — for data analysis, reporting, and supply chain modelling
