Position Overview

The Supply Planner (m/w/d) at Brandt is a central, cross-functional role responsible for planning and controlling production and supply volumes across all Brandt Group sites. You will ensure an optimal balance between demand forecasts, production capacities, and inventory levels — providing the transparency and analytical backbone that enables reliable product availability across Brandt’s full range of Zwieback, Knäckebrot, and chocolate products. Working closely with production, logistics, sales, and procurement teams, you will also own and continuously develop the group-wide S&OP process, drive KPI reporting improvements, and lead the ongoing standardization and enhancement of supply chain planning processes and systems across all locations.

Why This Role Matters: As Supply Planner at Brandt, your planning decisions directly determine whether Brandt’s iconic products reach retail shelves on time, in full, and without unnecessary inventory costs. You are the central nervous system of the group’s supply chain — balancing production capacity against live demand signals, flagging risks before they become disruptions, and ensuring that 800+ colleagues across four production sites always have a clear, reliable plan to execute against. For a supply chain professional who loves data-driven planning, cross-functional collaboration, and building processes that genuinely improve how a company operates, this is one of the most impactful planning roles available in the German FMCG sector today.

 Key Responsibilities

Cross-Site Supply Planning

  • Create and continuously update production and supply plans across all relevant Brandt Group sites — ensuring alignment between demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and service targets
  • Ensure an optimal balance between incoming demand signals, available production capacity, stock levels, and defined service-level requirements at all times
  • Coordinate closely with sales, demand planning, production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure stable and reliable product availability throughout the supply chain
  • Monitor and control key planning KPIs including inventory coverage, service levels, and planning accuracy — taking proactive action when deviations arise

S&OP Process Ownership

  • Take full ownership and continuously develop the group-wide Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across all Brandt Group locations
  • Prepare structured planning data and clear decision-making foundations for monthly cross-functional alignment rounds with production, sales, and leadership
  • Provide transparent, data-driven visibility of risks, capacity constraints, and inventory trend developments to support informed business decisions

Process & Systems Development

  • Drive continuous improvement of supply chain planning processes to increase transparency, efficiency, and overall planning quality across the Brandt Group
  • Actively contribute to the standardization of supply chain planning methodologies and tools across all group production sites
  • Support the development and enhancement of KPI frameworks and reporting structures that enable better, faster supply chain management decisions

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Completed degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in demand planning, supply planning, or S&OP roles — ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing, or consumer goods industries
  • Solid expertise in forecasting, inventory planning, capacity management, and KPI-based supply chain performance steering

Technical Skills

  • Confident working with BI and planning tools — including Excel, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP IBP, or comparable advanced planning systems
  • Fluent German — written and spoken — is required for daily collaboration across production, logistics, sales, and procurement teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a clear focus on what matters most in complex, multi-site planning environments

Personal Competencies

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills — genuinely comfortable leading cross-functional discussions and aligning diverse stakeholders around a shared supply plan
  • Structured, proactive working style with a real enthusiasm for data-driven decision-making and evidence-based supply chain management
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and takes ownership of both planning processes and their outcomes
