Position Overview

The Logistics Operations Specialist at Thales Deutschland in Berlin is responsible for the full operational management of all goods inflows and outflows — ensuring proper documentation, service level compliance, and warehouse order at all times. The role includes managing shipping and loading processes, new hardware storage and provision, regular inventory management, RMA returns and spare parts administration, cross-site delivery coordination, and active collaboration with external logistics service providers and suppliers.

 Key Responsibilities

Inbound & Outbound Goods Management

  • Take full responsibility for managing and coordinating all incoming and outgoing goods at the Berlin logistics location
  • Ensure proper documentation of all goods movements and strict adherence to defined service levels and compliance standards
  • Execute shipping, loading, and unloading processes efficiently and safely in line with Thales operational procedures
  • Organise the provision and storage of new hardware deliveries to support Thales Deutschland’s cloud infrastructure programme

Inventory Management & Stock Control

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through regular physical stock counts and systematic inventory controls
  • Analyse and clarify any inventory discrepancies or deviations identified during stock checks in a timely manner
  • Ensure ongoing stock accuracy and data integrity to support operational decision-making and hardware deployment planning
  • Maintain high standards of order, cleanliness, and workplace safety throughout the warehouse and logistics environment

RMA Process & Returns Coordination

  • Manage the full RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process including administration of returns and spare parts inventory
  • Coordinate cross-site deliveries between Thales locations and external partners efficiently and with full documentation
  • Ensure all returned hardware is properly received, assessed, documented, and processed according to Thales procedures
  • Collaborate actively with external service providers and suppliers to ensure smooth, on-time logistics operations

Operational Transport & Site Support

  • Support site-specific transport and delivery tasks across the Berlin area using a valid driving licence as required
  • Coordinate hardware logistics activities across locations, ensuring seamless handoffs and zero disruption to operations
  • Work independently and reliably in a structured way, managing operational logistics tasks without constant oversight

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or goods management roles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage inbound/outbound goods flows, RMA processes, and inventory control in an operational setting
  • Prior experience working with external logistics service providers and suppliers in a coordination capacity

Language & Licence Requirements

  • Good German and English language skills — both required for understanding and implementing operational work instructions
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to support site-based transport and delivery tasks across the Berlin area
