Job Summary
The Head of Quality Assurance is responsible for defining and leading the organization’s overall quality vision, strategy, and governance framework. This role provides leadership and accountability for all quality assurance activities related to food safety, vending machine performance, operational processes, and staff compliance.
As the organization’s final authority on quality and regulatory matters, the Head of Quality Assurance ensures full compliance with local and international standards, drives a strong culture of quality excellence, and aligns quality objectives with overall business strategy. This position leads the QA function, oversees audits and risk management, and represents the company with regulatory bodies and certification authorities.
Key Responsibilities – Head of Quality Assurance
1. Quality Strategy, Governance & Leadership
- Define and lead the organization-wide quality assurance strategy aligned with corporate goals
- Establish quality governance frameworks, policies, KPIs, and performance indicators
- Act as the final decision-maker for all quality-related escalations
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance team
- Promote a strong quality culture across all departments
2. Regulatory Compliance & Standards Management
- Ensure full compliance with local and international food safety and quality regulations
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of standards such as ISO and HACCP
- Lead internal and external audits and represent the company with regulatory authorities
- Monitor regulatory updates and ensure proactive organizational readiness
3. Operational Quality & Machine Performance Oversight
- Provide strategic oversight of self-service coffee vending machine quality and reliability
- Approve quality standards for machine calibration, product dispensing, and maintenance
- Collaborate with Operations, Technical, and R&D teams to improve machine and product quality
- Review quality trends and authorize corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
4. Staff Compliance, Capability & Training
- Define quality competency frameworks and training requirements for operational teams
- Ensure staff compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational protocols
- Oversee performance audits, disciplinary actions, and corrective measures
- Champion continuous learning and professional development in quality excellence
5. Performance Management, Data & Continuous Improvement
- Review quality KPIs, audit outcomes, and customer feedback data
- Lead enterprise-level continuous improvement and cost-optimization initiatives
- Approve quality improvement projects and resource allocation
- Drive adoption of new quality systems, technologies, and best practices
6. Risk Management & Incident Management
- Establish and oversee the quality risk management framework
- Provide executive oversight of major incidents, complaints, and product failures
- Ensure root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions are implemented
- Report critical quality risks to executive leadership with clear action plans

Qualifications & Experience Required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Food Safety, or related field
- Master’s degree or professional qualification is an advantage
- Certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, HACCP, or equivalent highly preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Operations
- Proven experience in a senior or head-of-function role
- Strong background in Food & Beverage, vending machines, retail, or multi-site operations
- Demonstrated success in leading audits, regulatory compliance, and quality transformation initiatives
