Position Overview
This Production Supervisor role at Culligan Dubai requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will plan and execute daily plant activities, maintain equipment through structured preventive maintenance programmes, manage spare parts inventory, and lead a team of production staff toward consistent quality, safety, and efficiency targets. Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Management
- Ensure regular, thorough preventive maintenance of all production equipment and machinery to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
- Proactively identify and address potential equipment issues before they escalate into failures that disrupt production output or quality.
- Create, maintain, and strictly enforce a comprehensive routine maintenance schedule for all plant equipment and machinery.
- Ensure full team compliance with the maintenance schedule to avoid unnecessary production delays, quality deviations, or safety incidents.
Production Planning & Shift Execution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive operational plan to prepare the plant fully before the start of each production shift.
- Coordinate directly with the Head of Department (HOD) to ensure all production activities run smoothly and any concerns are addressed promptly.
- Plan and manage daily production targets, shift scheduling, and resource allocation to achieve consistent output and efficiency goals.
- Monitor production performance in real time — identifying and resolving bottlenecks, deviations, or inefficiencies as they occur on the floor.
Spare Parts Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain an appropriate, well-organised inventory of spare parts for all production equipment and critical plant machinery.
- Ensure the timely availability and procurement of required spare parts to minimise production disruptions during breakdowns or scheduled maintenance.
- Track spare parts usage, costs, and stock levels — implementing efficient inventory management practices to reduce waste and control expenditure.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure spare parts sourcing is aligned with production maintenance schedules and budget requirements.
Staff Supervision, Training & Development
- Supervise and manage production team members day-to-day, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and productivity targets.
- Provide structured guidance, hands-on training, and ongoing support to team members to continuously enhance their technical skills and performance.
- Motivate, engage, and lead the production team with a strong, positive, and results-oriented leadership approach.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support individual development and overall team improvement.
Compliance, Quality & Operational Excellence
- Ensure full compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practice) requirements across all production activities.
- Apply HACCP principles proficiently throughout production processes — identifying critical control points and maintaining all related documentation.
- Conduct and support internal and external audits, ensuring the facility is always audit-ready and meets all applicable regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, yield optimisation, waste reduction, and overall operational excellence across the plant.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or a closely related technical field.
- Additional certification in HACCP, GMP, food safety management, or production management systems is a valued and competitive advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in production supervision or a similar operational leadership role — preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on understanding of preventive maintenance practices, production planning, and shift management in a plant or factory setting.
- Demonstrated experience applying HACCP principles, conducting internal audits, and managing GMP/GHP compliance in a food, beverage, or water production environment.
