Position Overview
The Corporate Quality Specialist at Almarai Riyadh works directly with the Quality Systems Manager to plan, coordinate, and implement quality and food safety management systems across the business. This role demands a proactive individual who can evaluate and rate quality programmes in line with company standards, drive continuous improvement across food manufacturing processes, and ensure full compliance with international food safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems Implementation
- Work with the Quality Systems Manager to plan and coordinate implementation of quality management systems across Almarai’s operations
- Support deployment of food safety management frameworks in line with company policy and international standards
- Rate and evaluate ongoing quality programmes to ensure continuous alignment with best practices
- Assist in the review and updating of quality procedures, documentation, and control records
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards across Almarai’s diverse product portfolio
- Monitor and assess adherence to internal food safety protocols covering dairy, bakery, poultry, and beverage categories
- Support audit preparation and participate in internal and external quality audits
- Identify gaps in quality systems and recommend corrective and preventive actions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with production, operations, and technical teams to ensure integrated quality delivery
- Liaise across departments to embed a quality-first culture throughout Almarai’s manufacturing and distribution network
- Support communication and training initiatives related to food safety awareness and quality standards
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Compile quality data, prepare reports, and present findings to the Quality Systems Manager
- Track key quality performance indicators and flag issues requiring escalation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Almarai’s commitment to quality and consumer trust
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a food-related discipline — Dairy Science, Bakery Technology, Food Technology, or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar quality role within a reputed food industry company
- Hands-on exposure to food safety management systems and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous
Essential Skills
- Fluent in English — written and spoken communication essential for cross-functional coordination
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work methodically with superiors and cross-functional teams in a structured FMCG environment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
