Position Overview
This CSE Engineer, Solution (Senior) role at KONE Dubai is a technical leadership position at the intersection of engineering excellence and commercial delivery. You will serve as the go-to subject matter expert on KONE’s elevator, escalator, and autowalk product portfolio for non-standard and special engineering projects, responsible for translating complex customer requirements into optimally specified, cost-effective, and fully compliant engineering solutions. From product selection and costing through to layout creation, compliance verification, and technical training delivery, this role demands both deep technical mastery and the interpersonal capability to coordinate seamlessly across sales, supply line, installation, maintenance, and project management functions throughout Dubai and the UAE.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Collaboration & Optimal Product Selection
- Take full responsibility for identifying and recommending the optimal KONE product to meet each customer’s unique non-standard engineering needs
- Select the correct KONE product platform on which to build the offer and ensure the technical solution is competitive in the UAE market
- Provide deep technical expertise to the Front Line CSE, field operations, and sales teams throughout the full delivery process
- Support successful implementation of KONE product and service solutions that fully meet customer contract specifications on time and within cost
Product Planning — Costing & Specifications
- Involve Supply Line, installation, maintenance, and project management teams to accurately understand materials and service cost structures
- Ensure correct product costings for all non-standard cases, covering both corporate and locally sourced material requirements
- Develop detailed custom product plans for non-standard projects, collaborating with Supply Line Engineering teams where required
- Create precise product specifications for corporate and local materials, including initial and revised non-standard energy calculations
- Perform simple traffic analyses as part of the product planning process to support optimal people flow solution design
Product Planning — Availability, Installability & Maintainability
- Coordinate product lead times from Supply Line and local sourcing partners to ensure project delivery schedules are realistic and achievable
- Verify that every proposed KONE product can be physically installed at the site and that installation cost impact is properly factored in
- Ensure non-standard installation situations are identified early and that the cost and effort impact is fully incorporated into product plans
- Confirm that every proposed product fulfils the customer’s full product lifecycle needs from installation through to long-term maintenance
- Identify any deviations to standard maintenance methods and ensure appropriate resolutions are documented and communicated to all parties
Compliance, Codes & Technical Site Accountability
- Ensure all proposed KONE products fully comply with local UAE codes, applicable international regulations, and safety requirements
- Maintain alignment with environmental regulations and verify that every planned product adheres to KONE’s Engineering Policy
- Take accountability for technical site surveys and ensure accurate technical content is captured between project milestones MS 0b and MS 2z
- Conduct pre-booking technical reviews covering product specifications, costs, lead times, risks, and contract technical content verification
Delivery Process, Layout Creation & Knowledge Sharing
- Take full accountability for creating accurate and technically complete layout documentation for all assigned KONE projects
- Analyse change requirements as they arise during delivery and make well-reasoned proposals on new or revised product design approaches
- Provide detailed product information to Project Managers, Installation Supervisors, and Maintenance Supervisors across all active projects
- Deliver technical training sessions to Sales, Installation, and Maintenance teams as required by Front Line business needs in Dubai
- Participate in product and new service release information-sharing sessions and contribute input to product offering management on portfolio needs
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of BIM tools and processes will be considered a valuable asset for this senior engineering role in Dubai
Experience Requirements
- Minimum five years of hands-on professional experience working with AutoCAD in a technical engineering environment
- Previous experience in elevator, escalator, or vertical transportation engineering is a significant advantage and strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing non-standard engineering solutions and working across cross-functional teams in GCC markets
Essential Skills
- Proficient with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for technical documentation and professional reporting
- Excellent communication and influencing skills in English — French language ability is an additional and valued asset for this role
- Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated capability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
