Position Overview
The HR Director — Snacks at Agthia Group Dubai reports to the Chief People Officer and leads a team of HR Business Partners serving as trusted strategic advisors to the Snacks and Beverages & Food Business Unit leadership. This senior role translates business strategy into an integrated, future-focused people agenda — covering workforce planning, talent pipeline development, succession planning, performance management, culture building, and change leadership. Acting as a catalyst for organisational effectiveness, the HR Director partners closely with the President and BU leaders to enable sustainable growth and enterprise-wide people impact across Agthia’s regional and global operations.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner closely with the President and Snacks Business Unit leadership team to align people priorities with business goals, organisational capability, workforce needs, and performance outcomes
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to BU and corporate leaders — translating business strategy into an integrated, future-focused people agenda that enables sustainable growth
- Lead a team of HR Business Partners, providing direction, coaching, and development to ensure they deliver as high-impact strategic advisors to business leaders
- Serve as a catalyst for organisational effectiveness across the Snacks BU — identifying people-related barriers to performance and developing solutions that drive enterprise-wide impact
Talent Management, Workforce Planning & Succession
- Build robust talent pipelines for leadership, line manager, and critical roles through proactive workforce planning, succession management, targeted hiring, and capability development
- Drive talent identification, development, and retention strategies that secure Agthia’s leadership bench strength across the Snacks Business Unit and broader organisation
- Partner with HR COEs and Shared Services to ensure strong delivery of core HR services — leveraging specialist expertise where required to support business outcomes
- Use data, HR metrics, and people analytics to inform talent decisions, track progress against people priorities, and advise business leaders with structured, evidence-based insights
Culture, Performance & Employee Engagement
- Shape a high-performance, values-led culture across the Snacks BU that strengthens employee engagement, accountability, collaboration, and wellbeing at all levels
- Champion performance management processes that drive individual and team accountability — ensuring leaders have the tools, frameworks, and support to build high-performing teams
- Build and sustain an inclusive, diverse, and purpose-driven work environment that reflects Agthia’s values and supports the retention of top talent across its 67-nationality workforce
- Monitor and act on employee engagement data and culture indicators — implementing targeted interventions that strengthen morale, motivation, and organisational health
Change Management & Organisational Transformation
- Lead the people side of transformation and change programmes — ensuring clear communication, leadership alignment, stakeholder engagement, and readiness for future ways of working
- Support organisational design, restructuring, and workforce transitions in a manner that is empathetic, compliant with local labour laws, and aligned with Agthia’s values
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulatory requirements across all countries where Agthia operates — including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan
- Lead difficult conversations with courage and confidence — using strong verbal and written communication skills to convey challenging messages clearly and professionally
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a directly related field — preferred for this senior leadership role
Experience Requirement
- 10+ years of progressive experience in HR — including business partnering, employee relations, and/or HR Centre of Excellence (COE) roles
- 5+ years of relevant Food and Beverage, Snacking, or FMCG industry experience — essential for understanding the commercial and operational context of this role
- Proven experience leading HR teams and acting as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders in a complex, multi-country FMCG environment
Essential Skills
- Courage and confidence to lead difficult discussions — with strong verbal and written communication skills to convey messages clearly and effectively at all levels
- Strong analytical and structured mindset for data-driven HR decision-making, leveraging people analytics and key HR metrics
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, with strong business partnering, influencing, and time management skills in a fast-paced, multi-market environment
- Deep knowledge of local labour laws and regulatory requirements across the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan
