Key Responsibilities
Product Inspection & Quality Testing
- Conduct thorough inspections and quality tests on products throughout the production process to ensure all items meet Furchild’s high internal quality standards
- Monitor and assess production outputs at every stage — from raw material intake through to finished product release — identifying quality deviations early
- Perform systematic product sampling, testing, and evaluation to ensure full compliance with BRCGS food safety and quality standards
- Document and report all inspection findings accurately, maintaining a clear and up-to-date quality records system for audit trail purposes
Quality Audits & BRCGS Compliance
- Plan and execute internal quality audits aligned with BRCGS standards, identifying non-conformances and recommending corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor ongoing compliance with food safety regulations, internal quality policies, and applicable international food quality standards
- Support external audits and BRCGS certification reviews, ensuring the facility and team are audit-ready at all times
- Track audit findings, manage non-conformance reports, and follow up to verify that corrective actions have been effectively implemented and closed
Production Process Monitoring
- Monitor production processes in real time to identify quality risks, hygiene deviations, or process inefficiencies that could compromise product safety or standards
- Work directly on the production floor alongside operations teams to embed a quality-first mindset and reinforce best-practice hygiene and handling procedures
- Identify root causes of recurring quality issues and collaborate with production and supply chain teams to drive targeted process improvements
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with production, supply chain, logistics, and e-commerce operations teams to align quality standards across all business channels and touchpoints
- Prepare clear quality performance reports, audit summaries, and compliance status updates for management review and decision-making

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Quality Management, or a relevant related discipline
- Additional certification in BRCGS, HACCP, ISO 22000, or food safety management systems is a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within the food industry — preferably within a food manufacturing or supply environment
- Demonstrated experience conducting product inspections, internal audits, and compliance assessments against recognised food safety standards such as BRCGS
- Prior exposure to food e-commerce quality operations or fresh food supply chain environments is advantageous
