Position Overview
This Quality Assurance Inspector job in Al Asimah, Kuwait is a critical frontline quality role within Agthia Group’s Kuwait operations. You will be responsible for conducting thorough product and process inspections, performing internal audits, managing non-conforming materials, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and preparing detailed quality reports for management. Working across production facilities, co-manufacturers, and external warehouses, you will serve as a key guardian of Agthia’s product quality and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Product Inspection
- Ensure all quality control procedures are strictly followed throughout every stage of production — from incoming raw materials through to finished goods release
- Conduct regular and structured quality inspections on incoming raw materials from vendors and outgoing finished goods destined for customers and distribution
- Review product specifications, technical standards, and blueprints to ensure all products meet defined compliance requirements before release
- Monitor all product deliveries to customers to ensure that established quality standards are consistently maintained throughout the distribution chain
- Handle non-conforming materials effectively and efficiently — taking swift action to minimize business impact, reduce waste, and prevent unsafe products from reaching customers
Documentation & CAPA Management
- Document all quality issues in thorough detail, recording corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) taken and tracking their effectiveness over time
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process checklists in close coordination with quality supervisors and managers to ensure consistent inspection standards
- Ensure that non-conforming raw materials are prevented from entering production and that defective finished goods are intercepted before they can reach any customer
- Perform systematic root cause analysis and structured investigations to identify the underlying drivers of quality non-conformances and implement sustainable corrective solutions
Internal Audits & Facility Inspections
- Support supervisors and managers in conducting thorough internal audits of production processes, food safety systems, and operational procedures across all Kuwait sites
- Perform regular scheduled and unscheduled inspections of production facilities, warehouses, and operational areas to verify ongoing GMP and food safety compliance
- Conduct random hygiene and safety compliance checks on transportation units including trucks and tankers used for raw material delivery and finished goods distribution
- Inspect raw materials and monitor GMP compliance in satellite warehouses and on-site storage areas — including structured sample collection and detailed reporting
MIS Reporting & Quality Documentation
- Prepare detailed and accurate quality reports covering all issues identified during inspections, audits, and non-conformance investigations across all Agthia Kuwait sites
- Develop and maintain daily analysis reports, batch production reports, and product release documentation in accordance with Agthia’s quality management standards
- Review and validate batch reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before sign-off and submission to quality management
- Conduct formal GMP inspections and maintain thorough documentation and reporting systems that support both internal reviews and external regulatory inspections
Special Projects & Leadership Support
- Undertake special quality projects and initiatives assigned by Agthia Group leadership as required — contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence programs
- Support cross-functional quality improvement initiatives that align with Agthia’s broader sustainability, innovation, and food safety transformation goals across the GCC
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent certification in a relevant field — food science, quality management, chemistry, or a related discipline
- Additional training or certification in HACCP, GMP, food safety management, or internal auditing is a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing or related production environment — with 4+ years preferred for senior consideration
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in food and beverage operations, quality inspection, and GMP compliance in a regulated manufacturing setting
- Must be legally authorized to work in Kuwait on an ongoing basis
Technical Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food hygiene standards applicable to food and beverage production environments
- Solid understanding of HACCP pre-requisite programs, food safety management systems, and quality compliance requirements in a GCC food manufacturing context
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and support effective corrective action implementation
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple inspection and reporting activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
