Position Overview
This Quality Assurance Officer role at RAW POPS in Kuwait is a hands-on, operationally active position that places you at the frontline of product quality and food safety compliance across the company’s operations. As a QA Officer, you will be responsible for conducting routine quality and hygiene inspections, monitoring compliance with established food safety standards, preparing accurate quality reports, investigating quality issues, and working closely with operations and production teams to ensure that quality requirements are consistently met at every stage of the production and delivery process. Key Responsibilities
Quality & Hygiene Inspections
- Conduct routine, scheduled quality and hygiene inspections across all production, storage, and operational areas to verify compliance with RAW POPS’ food safety standards
- Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products at defined quality checkpoints — recording findings accurately and flagging non-conformances for immediate corrective action
- Monitor temperature controls, sanitation procedures, personnel hygiene practices, and facility cleanliness standards on a consistent, documented basis
- Carry out spot-check inspections at operational sites using the company vehicle — valid Kuwait driver’s license required for multi-site quality inspection duties
Food Safety Compliance Monitoring
- Monitor and verify daily compliance with food safety standards, GMP requirements, and applicable Kuwait Ministry of Health and municipality food safety regulations
- Ensure all production, handling, storage, and distribution activities are carried out in strict accordance with established food safety protocols and quality control procedures
- Identify potential food safety risks and non-compliance situations during inspections and escalate findings to the Quality Manager with clear, documented evidence and recommendations
- Support the maintenance of HACCP critical control point monitoring records, corrective action logs, and food safety verification documentation
Quality Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare accurate, timely quality inspection reports, hygiene audit records, and non-conformance documentation for review by the Quality Manager and relevant operations leadership
- Maintain well-organised, up-to-date QA files and records that are accessible, audit-ready, and fully compliant with internal quality management system requirements
- Record all quality-related findings, corrective actions, and follow-up verification outcomes in the company’s quality management documentation system
- Compile and submit regular quality performance data and inspection summary reports to support management review and continuous improvement planning
Issue Investigation & Corrective Actions
- Investigate quality issues, product non-conformances, and food safety incidents systematically — identifying root causes and recommending practical, effective corrective and preventive actions
- Follow up on previously issued corrective actions to verify that remediation measures have been properly implemented and are producing the intended quality improvement outcomes
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to communicate quality findings clearly and support the resolution of recurring or systemic quality problems
- Contribute actively to continuous quality improvement initiatives that raise the overall standard of food safety compliance and product consistency across RAW POPS operations
Cross-Functional Operations Coordination
- Coordinate closely with operations, production, and logistics teams to ensure that quality requirements and food safety standards are understood, communicated, and consistently applied
- Participate in daily quality briefings and cross-department meetings to share inspection findings, quality updates, and compliance status with relevant operational stakeholders
- Support the quality team in new product quality assessments, supplier quality evaluations, and any ad hoc quality assurance tasks assigned by the Quality Manager
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality Management, Nutrition, Food Technology, or a closely related academic field
- Previous work experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control — prior experience in the food and beverage industry is strongly preferred for this role
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety principles, hygiene inspection procedures, and GMP or HACCP compliance frameworks
Practical Requirements
- Valid Kuwait driving licence — male candidates with a current, active Kuwait driver’s license are preferred for this role due to multi-site inspection responsibilities
