Position Overview
The Senior QA Inspector at Agthia Group Abu Dhabi is a senior technical role at the heart of the food manufacturing quality assurance function. You will lead and conduct thorough inspections across production processes, validate raw material and finished product quality, perform environmental monitoring, manage quality documentation and deviation reports, support internal and external audits, and drive continuous improvement across QA systems. This role requires a confident, experienced quality professional who can work independently while leading by example on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities — How You Will Make an Impact
Production Inspections & Quality Validation
- Lead and conduct thorough inspections of production processes at all stages — ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards from raw material receipt to finished product dispatch
- Validate the quality of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods against specifications — identifying any deviations and implementing immediate corrective actions
- Perform line clearance checks, weight control checks, metal detector verification, and labeling and traceability inspections across all active production lines
- Participate actively in quality projects, product improvement trials, and process validation activities to drive continuous quality enhancement
Environmental Monitoring & Food Safety
- Carry out comprehensive environmental monitoring programmes — including surface swabs, water testing, and pest control verification across the facility
- Monitor complaint trends, analyze root causes, and recommend targeted preventive measures to address recurring quality and food safety issues
- Ensure full compliance with BRCGS Issue 9, ISO 22000, FSSC, HALAL, and all applicable customer-specific quality standards across production operations
Documentation, Reporting & Deviations
- Ensure all quality and safety documentation is maintained accurately and completely in accordance with regulatory and Agthia company standards
- Complete and review inspection records, checklists, and deviation reports — maintaining a full, auditable quality record at all times
- Suggest improvements to inspection procedures and quality assurance systems based on daily operational observations and audit findings
Audit Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support the QA team in planning and executing internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections across the Abu Dhabi facility
- Assist in maintaining site compliance with BRCGS Issue 9, ISO 22000, FSSC, HACCP, GMP, and HALAL standards as part of the ongoing certification programme
- Proactively identify and escalate quality risks before they become non-conformances — contributing to a preventive rather than reactive quality culture
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Food Technology, or a closely related field — strong theoretical grounding in food safety and quality management is essential
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and food safety inspection roles — preferably within the FMCG or Food & Beverage manufacturing industry
- Proven ability to independently lead inspections, manage deviation reporting, and drive corrective actions in a high-volume food production environment
